Always the Photographer, never a Bridesmaid- Until NOW

So after 200+ weddings I have been in two weddings in my life

1. My sisters wedding as a Bridesmaid when I was 17

2. My own as the Bride

And since I have become a wedding photographer, I have been a part of many great weddings ; including friends and family members and classmates. But a good friend of mine really really was torn, either to have me shoot the wedding or be a bridesmaid. She looked at her fiance and said, she can’t shoot the wedding- blank stare of confusion… she went on to say because I want her standing with me.

She came over to my house to chat and to hang out and they just got engaged- I photographed the proposal- I should know these planning items do take time

We began to take and I boldly ask have you thought about bridesmaids… I was anxious to hear myself who they were and always hoped I would be one

And she said – I was- she waited for my reaction and I was so excited. She wondered “is that a yes” I said “OH course!!!” “But no ugly dresses”

So her wedding is sometime next year, and I am charged with this task of helping plan the wedding- its not like I haven’t help dozens of couples out before. So for the next 10ish months I will post on here about planning a wedding. The wedding photographer turned planner.
