Everything that day pretty much went the way I had planned it. I was really disappointed tho in the wedding coordinator at the Church. She was so nice the day of the wedding rehearsal and every time I ever talk to her on the phone but the day of the wedding I don’t know what happened that she became so rude!!
I was also really angry that our limo that we paid so much for showed up 30 minutes late. I couldn’t believe that, especially since the owner told me that she knew where the Church was.
Zeid and I never saw what the Yacht looked like since we were planning everything out of state besides what his mom told us about the way it looked. The minute we saw the Yacht I was amazed. I was so HAPPY. It was the biggest Yacht out in the Harbor. It was amazing.. My favorite part of the wedding would have to be the belly dancers. That really brought some good fun to the wedding. I also loved that we were out in the Harbor enjoying the breeze and just being with my new husband. That was just amazing. Everything from the reception was just perfect!!! I was so happy about everything.
The cookies from Baking Betty’s was also a big hit at the wedding. I actually had people calling me a couple days after the wedding asking me for info. with the cookies. It was so cute. Mini cookies with shots of milk. It was actually better than the cake. The display of the cookies and the shots of milk just gave the room that much more personality to the room.
The flowers, O how I was amazed with the bouquets and centerpieces. I was actually kind of scared because I had ordered small centerpieces but when I saw them I was so happy. I loved working with Lavonne’s florist.
The only thing that is still actually really bugging me to this day about the reception is the DJ. I can’t tell you how many emails and calls I had with the DJ we picked. One thing about me is that I’m a big picture and music person. I had told the DJ that I wanted him to play 50 % American music and 50% Arabic music. Well I gave him a play list of all the music I wanted him to play throughout the night and well he didn’t play any of the songs that I had requested. Not only did he not play the play list that I had put together for him he played Arabic music all night. Which was good for my husbands side of the family my family couldn’t and didn’t get to dance all night. He only played two American songs for us to dance to. O and he even pronounced our name wrong when introducing us for the first time. I even told him that it was kind of a hard name and to please call me so we could go over how to pronounce my new last name and my husbands name which he kept saying wrong. My 9 year old niece actually went up to him and told him a couple of times how to say my husbands name right.
I’m just so grateful that I had an AMAZING photographer who really did an amazing job since I’m such a big photo person. She wasn’t just my photographer but has become a friend. She really captured who my husband and I really are.
I couldn’t of had such a great day with out the help of my sister n law Brooke who did everything for me from making the ring barrier pillow, to our wedding programs and etc…. She really did a lot to help us.
Also Melissa is a great friend who is a makeup artist that did all my bridesmaids makeup and I think the makeup looked wonderful.
Not every wedding you see has belly dancers eh 🙂 Congrats to Amber and Zeid 🙂
