As covid 19 is still in full swing, I was contacted by a beautiful bride wanting her special day captured. Originally it was going to be in South Carolina, everything was planned and then Covid 19 happened. That was a big bummer but then the bride said lets have a 10 person gathering, and then as more and more shelter in place orders went through the country that dream was put on hold. Then I come into the story, they wanted to elope and have photos taken. They found a beautiful place and they need a photographer. I said yes, because my whole point in being a photographer is to capture and document. We discussed how that would be under the stay at home orders but my main concern was hers. It always is. Your wedding is something you plan, you dream of and when those plans come crashing down, the very least any of us can do is to help in whatever way. Kaylee and Jeremiah got the wedding, so now they are husband and wife!
So some back story in some of the items in the wedding, the dress: 3 cheers for the amazing brides sister who sewed a KICK butt dress in 1-2 weeks from scratch! seriously ! AWESOME! SHIPPED the dress and the dress too 2 additional days to arrive. AHHH! TALK about panic moment. She made all the adjustments til the wee hours in the morning and the dress was great!
The cake! The bride Made it from scratch! Frosting and all and it was vegan- and amazing- yum yum yum!
There was still cake cutting and uninvited guests to share
She still got something borrowed, new, blue and old from her family in the box that came with the dress.
There was still champagne
Had some uninvited guests for a makeshift rehearsal : From none other than the owners of Loveland Aleworks with their Exclusion beer ” its OK to be distant”
There was still dancing- first dance
And there was still a decorated car get away
And they still got married on the perfect day : Stan Fields : Miss Rhode Island, please describe your idea of a perfect date. Cheryl “Rhode Island” : That’s a tough one. I’d have to say April 25th. Because it’s not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket.
