Couple #1:
I would love to win this contests for several reasons: The first is my mom, I would love to help her out when she has already given me so much, she helped me when my daughter Mia passed away, medical bills, and getting my degree. The second I would love to be married to the man I love in the state where we plan to start our lives. Third I would love help planning an event where I can celebrate the beginning of Kevin and my life but also honor the most beautiful angel whose presence in my life has placed me here and now!

By choosing my entry, you would not just be choosing to give my fiancé and I a beautiful day to remember, but you would also be giving our children a day to remember forever as a family. In all, our progression from dating to family life has been an amazing journey and we are ready to take the next step to make it official. If we are chosen, you are not simply giving my fiancé and I the opportunity to marry one another, you are giving us the opportunity to unite our family, together.

Couple #3:
I’m leaving for Iraq in February and my fiance deserves something great to happen to her. She’s been struggling to try to deal with me leaving and also trying to plan a wedding (all by herself). If we get chosen, it will be one thing off her mind before I leave. She’s been the best thing that ever happen to me. Give the soldier and his fiance a chance. Thank you.

Couple #4:
We feel that we should be chosen for the Wedding in a Week, not because our life has been terrible, but because we are normal everyday people battling the obstacles that life throws in our path and leave us without the resources to get married. Bumps in the road, especially our brush with cancer, made us look at our lives and narrow our focus on what we really wanted and what was important – to get married and have kids, have a family of our own. We can’t wait to get married, we just don’t know when it’ll happen. We would be thrilled and grateful for the opportunity to be chosen for this amazing gift.

From time to time, some of you have probably wondered about the man that you’re dating. You’ve probably thought, “Is this a good guy? Is he a keeper,” etc? Well, you could always try my method of checking him out. Just borrow his car and then wreck it. This is just what I did on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009. While Jim was understandably concerned about his car, he still kept his nice guy image intact and even refused my offer to pay his deductible. What can you say about a guy like that? So I decided that this was too good of a guy to let go of, and we became engaged over Christmas. Due to financial considerations, I’m a full-time student and Jim is moving here from Nebraska without a job so we can be together, we were planning to keep our wedding simple and inexpensive. But if KISS 96.1 could help us out, we would love it! |
