What is an Unplugged Wedding Ceremony

Have you seen a movie lately that had a wedding in it? Do you see 20 Iphones, Droids and more, 10-15 Ipads snapping- videoing the ceremony… NO you see a beautiful ceremony and a wonderful bride and groom moments. But in reality even if the bride and groom requests to have everyone put away their cell phones and just enjoy the ceremony, you still get one or two people taking their own photos.

There are some great reasons for having an unplugged wedding:

1. Guest can just enjoy the ceremony and take in the emotion- really hard to do that when your trying to be THE photographer

2. You get in the way of the Photographer who is trying to capture the moment and you may cause them to miss the moment

3.  Your shot isn’t as important as the photographers

4. Enjoy the party, take photos that matter to you that you want to have while you party

Unplug from the digital devices next wedding you go to and let the photographer do their job and have fun at the party with friends and love ones.
