Every year for the past 3 years my dad and sometimes my sister go to the Country Club to have a Father Daughter Dance. What girl wouldn’t mind dressing up in her homecoming/prom best and dancing with there daddy. Well the average age of the crowd is 10years old but I don’t care. Being almost 26 its a great night out with my dad. My mom gets a corsage for our wrist, just like homecoming/prom we take out pictures with the professional photographer :), my dad wears a tux and we are off to the dance like cinderella. But because the average age of the crowd is 10 the ball is done at 10pm 🙂
Its funny to see the little girls dance to the latest song- Justin Beaver and really funny to see them scream out some songs at such a high pitch you can bearly make out the words or tune. But the girls love it, because they are with their dads. ITS also amazing to look around the room at such proud dads to see them look at their little girls who are growing up and it dawns on them when it comes to the slow songs that these are moments that last a life time.
My dad and I are goof balls, you can only expect I came from some weird genes.
I grew up with such classic songs as Cheeseburger’s in Paradise– my dad would play them as we went to school and it says a** in the song and he would try to turn it low so we couldn’t hear it, but my dad is “hard of hearing” in one year so he thought it passed most of the time and then he would turn it up right when it said a** what a daddy to do.
So we danced around to that song as well as to the song for my wedding that we danced to. Dancing with Cinderella
All that time whispered in his ear- left right back, left right back. My dad isn’t a dancer but I made sure he looked good.
So here are a few photos of the night
