Lovely Wednesday Surprise

Today for whatever reason I looked on google images and what came up when I typed Sarah Christine Photography, I founds loads of photos and was delighted, but I found this blog post by a former bride and I was delighted to find this http://flowerstoflour.com/2012/08/10/vendor-love-sarah-christine-photography/

I don’t ask my brides to say anything, I am always shocked at the lovely things I hear. This made me pause for quite some time. Thank you to all of my clients, I cherish your date more than you will know. Each wedding is personal. I have no words to describe.

Here is it

Sarah and I have crossed paths for several years, even before she became a wedding photographer. However I first experienced Sarah “the wedding photographer” a year and a half ago as a bridesmaid in a wedding she did. I was struck immediately with the fact that she was not just a wedding photographer.

There was no doubt in my mind that when I was planning my own wedding Sarah was going to be our photographer.

Reasons Why We Hired Sarah Christine Photography:

She was organized, she had a schedule and stuck to it.
It was all about the Bride and Groom. She would make sure that sassy bridesmaids and unruly groomsmen wouldn’t steal the attention.
She took risks. She constantly told the bride, “Trust me with your dress, ok? This will be a great shot.” And it was 100%.
She knew her stuff. She was not afraid to pipe in with her wedding knowledge in areas that weren’t hers. But only when necessary.

Reasons Why We Don’t Regret Hiring Sarah Christine Photography:

She was with me all day. She came to the other side of town to photograph my hair appointment and then drove to the church to get a head start on detail shots. By the time I arrived with my girls she was ready to get rolling.
It was very important to me to not see my fiance until our “First Look” moment, when the church coordinator brought him right by our room with the door open she could tell I was about to freak out. Sarah was there with hugs and reassuring me that moment would still be amazing.
She was amazing at managing our crazy families, not once did she lose control of the group.
While we were all eating dinner she opened up her computer and edited a handful of our pictures. She set up her computer on a slideshow so that guests could see some of the pictures from earlier in the day.

My favorite Sarah moment I didn’t even witness happen. My new husband has a lot of family that all came in from out of state and were taking advantage of the opportunity to take lots of family photos at the reception. Devin, my husband, was being pulled in many different directions, photo after photo and photo. Sarah noticed that he was starting to get frustrated as he is not one to be the center of attention. She rounded up his groomsmen outside on the patio to wait. When she returned inside she stood in front of all the cameras, took a couple shots herself, and told everyone that she needed Devin. She grabbed him, and made him go outside where his groomsmen were waiting with beer. A much needed breather.

As Devin recounted that moment with me it was clear that Sarah wasn’t just there to take pictures. She was there to make sure WE were happy and enjoying our day. She didn’t have to go that extra mile and arrange a moment for Devin to breathe, but she did. And it enabled him to have fun the rest of the night.

Sarah didn’t have to set aside cupcakes for us while we cleaned the frosting out of our noses from feeding each other, but she did.

She didn’t have to come to my hair appointment on the other side of town, but she did.

As my family reminisced our wedding day they have all raved about their interactions with Sarah. There is not a single person that I wouldn’t recommend her to. She helped make our day run smoothly and I cannot imagine what our day would have been like with a photographer who just stood on the sidelines.
