I get asked A LOT for the photo timeline and many soon realize that what I am writing out is their wedding day. There are a lot of moving pieces and a few major point that should always be discussed.
Here is generally what I ask my couples
Getting ready start time_______________am _________________pm
How many people are getting ready with the Hair and Make-up Artists_____________________
Who is your Hair and Make-up Artists_________________________________________________________________________
(On average it take an hour and 45 mins per person for hair and make-up – Plan accordingly)
Where will you be getting ready at?__________________________________________________
Where will you be putting on your dress?______________________________________________
*Make sure the people you want there are dressed and ready or at least have their dress on (Makes for a nice moment)
It will take 20-30 mins to put your dress on because everything is everywhere, everyone will be running around. Just plan for the time, it takes time to get into the car
How far from the Getting ready area is it to the venue?____________________________________
Will you have the flowers at the venue or will you pick them up before (Yes) or (No)
Flowers should arrive a little before you arrive if you are doing off venue photos please pick up (boutonnieres and bouquets)
First Look (Yes) or (NO)
If you do a first look then we are going to have you see your spouse right away- no point in hiding any longer. It will be a time with just you, your spouse and the photographer
If you decide no first look, we will start with Brides and bridesmaids photos and then grooms. In general expect 45min to an hour for the bride’s photos. Grooms pictures with groomsmen takes 10-15 mins.
We will end photos 30 mins prior to the ceremony (Good time to eat)
Ceremony (lasts anywhere from 20mins to an hour depending on what ceremony you’re doing)
Right after the ceremony- Family photos 10-15 min, Bridal Party 10 min, Bride and Groom 30 min unless we do it before the ceremony. *Give family extra time before the ceremony because they will be running everywhere
